Partnerships
Working in partnership is an integral component of the Healthy Cities approach. In partnership with the Southern Adelaide Health Service, the City of Onkaparinga and Flinders University of SA, HCO provides the opportunity to share the Healthy Cities approach with interested people and agencies. Â
The City of Onkaparinga has produced a Community Plan 2008-2028 and associated strategies for Climate Change, Water Futures and Transport. We believe the Community Plan provides a visionary blueprint for the future of our City and reflects shared goals of environmentally sustainable growth, increased health, wellbeing and connectedness, equitable prosperity, community participation and leadership, and cooperation/partnership between all players in government, non-government and private sectors. HCO proposes a closer partnership with the City of Onkaparinga as a way to strengthen opportunities to achieve our shared goals.Â
We will continue to work closely with Southern Adelaide Health Service. The health service provides a small grant to cover running costs and in-kind administrative support. Â
